Hey Guys,

So some of you were wondering what's going on with AMPAC MUN i.e. where to get the committee summaries etc.. I looked at the website and found out a few things:

1) The paper rubric is position paper format. We talked about it today but for those of you that are a little hazy on it you can look in your delegate guides or check out this link for some help (http://www.smhs.org/ourpages/auto/2006/8/30/1156983692921/MUNHandbook.pdf?rn=8319) Also, if you go to the Downloads link on top of the AMPAC homepage there is a PAXMUN Delegate guide which tells you what they want in terms of a position paper.

2) Not all committees have a summary posted yet. As I see it, UNRWA, SC, and OIC all have them posted. They are linked as ":Committe Name: Director's Report and Background Guide" below the name of the committee and the topics. The rest have yet to post it so check back frequently for updates.

Also, comment on this if you think you would like to meet sometime next week to possibly review your position papers etc. As we said today, you can e-mail us with any questions you may have regarding the conference, MUN in general.

MEETING #2 (2pm La Fortune's Notre Dame room on the 2nd floor this Sunday the 30th)

Last week's meeting was excellent, showing a lot of potential. The only criticism possible would be the initial shyness and reluctance to speak. If you do not participate and speak, the simulation becomes dominated by the more aggressive public speakers and not to mention, it becomes boring for you as the delegate.

Anyways, given such latent talent, the Model UN executive board thought it best if we continued the same topic of peace keeping forces until a resolution formed. Same countries as before.

Please browse through this website on resolution writing and be familiar with it before the meeting this Sunday.
